What a magical time of the year - our favorite. Even more special to share with Mr. Rex - nothing like a baby's 1st Christmas. As expected, Rex enjoyed the wrapping paper/tissue/ribbons more than the actual gifts (although he has certainly already gotten miles of goodies! - thanks family!). We spent most of the Holidays on the road - all in about 2K miles total from Thanksgiving through New Year's (2 trips to Oklahoma and 2 to Abilene). We wouldn't have done it any other way!
For New Year's we went to the Garvins brand new house in Keller (outside of Ft. Worth). They recently moved from Houston and we couldn't be any more excited to have some dear friends of ours within short driving distance. They introduced us to the game "Rock Band" - wow. If you haven't played it (no matter what age), you are missing out. For anyone looking for early Birthday presents for Lauren and Reg.... ; )
Work remains busy for Lauren and Reg, but that's a good thing. We remind ourselves how fortunate we are every day and we are truly grateful to have jobs. We are looking forward to a wonderful 2009 and all the many 1sts that lie ahead for King Rex (including, but not limited to his 1st Birthday, 1st steps, etc.). Speaking of the King, he is still Army crawling and not quite on all 4s. He is able to pull himself up and stand (with assistance), and has discovered the joys of 'real' food. He is becoming our little human garbage disposal; only natural given the amount of teeth he is welcoming!
The perfect ending to a joyous Holiday Season would have been if OU could have scored on the two 1st and goals they had against the Gators in the BCS National Championship game Thursday night. Life reminds us that nothing is perfect.
We love each and every one of you and we are thankful to have you in our lives. Hope you enjoy the pics!

Hey Lauren. I don't know if you still post since you havnen't since Christmas! C'mon I want to see new pics of cute little Rex! Is he one yet? I don't remember his b-day. My girls are now 2 and 4 and I'm expecting #3. Keep in touch! Glad I found your blog, just hope you still post!
